After her study in Econometrics at Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2000, Judy started her career as a market maker on the European derivatives exchanges. She traded different instruments on Euronext and Eurex. She was a CMM on the AEX index during her career at IDE and started with position management in the later stage at IDE. She continued her career trading the Asian derivatives markets and moved in 2005 to Hong Kong and founded Global Derivatives Options Trading Ltd. After many years of trading she has decided to build her career on the management side. In 2008 she joined Saen Options Hong Kong, responsible for operations, risk and compliance. Later on she became the managing director of the company and registered by the SFC as Responsible Officer for Type 1 (Securities) and Type 2 (Futures). In 2011 she joined True Partner Holding Limited as a partner and COO. She was responsible for the back office including operations, risk, HR, compliance, investor relations and Finance and became Responsible officer for Type 9 (Asset Management) .
Richard holds a Bachelor of Information Engineering and Master of Finance Degree in the University of Hong Kong. After his study, Richard started his career at HSBC as trading support for equity derivatives. Later, he joined Rabobank and had traded structured products, warrants, CBBC. Together with his team, he had developed and validated new models and designed new structured products. In 2009 he joined All Options Asia Holding as a junior trader, responsible for market making in the Hong Kong stock option and index options. Besides, he has also traded different indices options (Korea, Japan and Europe). He was registered by the SFC as Licensed Representative for Type 1 (Securities) and Type 2 (Futures). In 2011 he joined LT securities Limited as a trader, responsible for the set up of the market making and quantitative desk. In the past few years he is constantly developing new trading strategies. In 2013 he decided to join Smart Wise to expand his business with the team.
Joyce holds a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Finance with Minor in Economics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining Smart Wise, Joyce has worked at Goldman Sachs, True Partner Fund and Nomura International, focusing on trading Asian and US markets with strength on both fundamental and quantitative analysis. Joyce started her career as a trader at True Partner Fund, a global volatility fund, where she gained her experience in trading futures and options of the world’s major equity indices. Joyce also managed a Hong Kong single stock option market making portfolio at True Partner. Most recently at Goldman Sachs, she directly covered all Asian family office and ultra high net worth clients, for a variety of investment vehicles including cash equities, forex, listed options and OTC derivatives products.
Shortly after graduating in Information Systems Engineering in 2003, Pedro worked in some non financial companies before joining his first securities firm Saen Options Amsterdam in 2005. There he had his first contact with the financial markets and worked mainly on risk management systems until he was offered a transfer to Hong Kong middle of 2008. At Saen Options HK (which later became All Options HK) he played an important role helping in office daily operations and improving the company’s trading systems, eventually leading to being promoted as manager of the HK technology team. In 2011 he joined JPMorgan HK working for the warrants/options market making team where he had the chance to learn about complex trading systems and business strategies. He provided an important contribution in lifting the warrants team from middle of the league to the very profitable top seller which granted a promotion in less than one year. In 2015 he decided to try the buy side by joining Athena Capital Research HK where he got familiar with automated quant trading systems operating in mainland China markets. In 2016 he joined Smart Wise bringing a wealth of expertise with the mission to improve the company’s trading systems and strategies.
